Repair or Patch Asphalt Paving
"First, patching & sealing is not a cosmetic replacement for shimming (recoating). Second, the patching of large cracks may take more than one application over a period of several days as when it dries it can contract and not completely fill the crack. Third, for best cosmetics have them squeegee over the crack patching to flatten it out and then seal afterwards. Chris was correct when he said don't judge the final result until 24 to 48 hours after the application as it needs time to dry and looks very different after that happens. I was initially disappointed by the results the day of application, but after it dried and the larger cracks were filled a second time, I'm pleased with the results. The crack patching remains visible but Chris was true to his word and came back and filled them the second time. He can't do anything more than what the products are capable of doing, the cracks won't disappear. Chris was quick to provide a quote and just as quick to get me into the schedule.
